Illustration and Painting Gallery
Amy creates her artwork using watercolor, gouache, acrylic, pen, and ink. Her art is also featured on her metal and leather items, as well as in coloring books and other books. You can find many of her pieces and plenty more at art and craft shows or comic expos throughout the year. She's always working on new artwork. To see more of her paintings, be sure to visit the in-person shows she does with her husband Tanner. Amy has been painting with watercolor since she was in her early teens and has continued to do so off and on ever since. Between her leather items, hand-painted metal pieces (each one done individually), and paintings, she has created thousands of works. Below is a small sample of the watercolours she has created.
The Acrylic paintings are a recent addition to Amy’s artistic journey.
In the summer of 2024, Amy experienced a concussion that temporarily hindered her ability to work with watercolorus. Under the guidance of her occupational therapist, she began creating artwork with simple, broad strokes using acrylic paints. This practice not only served as a therapeutic aid in her recovery but also marked a meaningful expansion of her creative expression.
Acrylics are also used on her leather work as well.
Ink Drawings
Part of a series for a group exhibit at the Allied Arts Council. The theme of the exhibit was to use one main colour and any other colour is only use sparingly on details or accents. These three paintings are part of a story about how a small change can create significant impact.
Watercolour
Many of the animals, insects and birds are paintings based off my life as an invisibly disabled artist who experiences nature through my windows when I am unable to leave the house.
Scenery is based on where I grew up or places I seen when I’ve travelled.
